    The infrared window for temperature measurement, also known as an infrared observation window, infrared window, or infrared window, is an optical window that can transmit infrared, ultraviolet, and visible light. It uses an infrared thermal imaging instrument to scan the internal connection positions of high-voltage electrical appliances using infrared radiation. High voltage equipment generally used in sealed environments with voltage levels of 6KV and above (and occasionally 380V voltage levels) is mainly used to detect and monitor the temperature of heating components such as circuit breaker contacts, current transformer contacts, high-voltage switch contacts, and busbar connection points of power equipment in special sealed environments.

    When traditional temperature measurement methods such as thermocouples, wireless temperature probes, fiber optic temperature measurement, and grating temperature measurement cannot accurately measure the temperature of the heat generating components of power equipment in sealed environments, or when accurate temperature measurement can be achieved but the electronic equipment used in this temperature measurement method has a high probability of causing secondary fault points after a period of use, the infrared temperature measurement window temperature measurement method is used. The infrared temperature measurement window device is installed on the front and rear panels of the cabinet, transformer box, transformer junction box, GIS high-voltage equipment, motor control center, terminal box, and motor junction boxes of power plant fans, pumps, coal mills, and other electrical equipment. On site power operation and maintenance personnel can use infrared temperature measurement instruments such as infrared imagers and infrared thermometers to achieve real-time detection of infrared imaging and temperature measurement of heat generating components of power equipment in a sealed environment under live operation.

    Infrared temperature measurement windows are divided into long wave windows and short wave windows based on wavelength in the industry

    Long wave window: The working band is 0.15-14 μ m. Mainly used for detecting low and normal temperatures below 500 ° C. In the power industry, long wave basically meets the fault detection of existing power equipment, solving the problem of difficult temperature detection of sealed power equipment in live operation state simply, quickly, and accurately, and realizing online real-time detection of power equipment such as switchgear in operation state. At 0.15 μ m, the infrared transmittance of the window is ≥ 94%; At 12.5 μ m, the infrared transmittance of the window is ≥ 92%. The default transmittance of the working band is 90%.

    Short wave window: The working band is 0.15-7 μ m, mainly used for detecting high-temperature objects above 500 ° C. At 0.15 μ m, the infrared transmittance of the window is ≥ 94%. At 7 μ m, the infrared transmittance of the window is ≥ 92%.
