The TZY-JS-8 discharge counter (hereinafter referred to as the counter) is a device connected in series with the grounding wire of the lightning arrester, used to record the number of lightning arrester actions. This product follows the standard JB2440-91. The TZY-JS-8 discharge counter is used for nominal discharge current 5KA series lightning arresters. This model is a new type of discharge counter device with a high internal resistance at operating voltage, making it easy to accurately measure the continuous operating current of lightning arresters (especially zinc oxide lightning arresters) by parallel connection of an ammeter at both ends. The environmental conditions used are the same as those of the connected lightning arrester. The altitude is only 2000 meters [customized for high-altitude products], and the ambient temperature is -40 ℃~40 ℃. It is not suitable for places with severe pollution and severe vibration above level III.

The discharge counter is mainly composed of components such as zinc oxide nonlinear resistors, varistors, capacitors, and electromagnetic counters. It uses the lightning current passing through the lightning arrester, the voltage drop on the zinc oxide valve plate, to charge the capacitor, and then the capacitor discharges the electromagnetic counter coil to make the counter move once, that is, record once, to achieve the recording of the number of actions.  

The structure adopts a corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy integrated casting shell, with high temperature and aging resistant sealing rubber pads on both the header and floor, and card seals on the bottom plate and header parts. The high-voltage outlet end is led out from the center of the bottom plate. Therefore, it has the characteristics of high sensitivity, accurate and reliable counting, clear and obvious display, lightweight structure, beautiful appearance, easy installation and use, and reliable sealing. If there are special performance requirements, customized production can be made.
